hallo pple.. ren here. finally after 6 months, i'm gonna post photos of my completed MG Unicorn. lolx. let me reassert that it is a CLEAN build.. no fanciful modding, so it mite disappoint a few. sorry! some paints, panel lining.. and deepening of lines and topcoated glossy is all i've done.. but no stickers were used. i took so long to finish this kit becos of a number of things..

- quite a number of parts.. and most of them need nubs cleaning becos im not gonna paint over them.
- panel lining; both outer armor and NT-D mode's pink florescent parts.
- short working hours on the kit. 1hr/day.. T.T
- and the most time consuming part.. MR. HAJIME KATOKI'S DECALS. i've applied them alll....

i'm sure after this kit.. my water decal's applying skills have gone up a quadtriple fold! XD as you can see them on my Mega size RX-78. and also.. i'll stay away from any Ver. KA kits for quite some time, or at least till the Furoku Sinanju's Head display is out.. den i'll start on MG Sinanju perhaps. ^^

alrites.. i've split the post of this kit into 2 parts.. Unicorn Mode and Destroy Mode, becos of the number of photos i've taken. ^^ okays! let the photos do the talking!

Hi pple! Ren here. Today is exactly one week after our first anniversary.. i was trying to rush this kit out last week in time but couldn't cos there's too much things to do... but i promise that i'll post smthing by the end of this week, to commemorate our blog's 1st birthday and a gift for tako! so here's my completed work.. =)

i'm still very syched about this kit.. ^^ its my second fully spray-painted kit.. with colour separations and i finished this kit in 2 weeks. so far, its my fastest record. maybe due to the simple build.. XD alrites. i'll shut up and let the photos do the talking.. enjoy! ^^

Ren & Tako's FIRST ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just in case any one of you is mistaken about it..

IT's THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY of our BLOG http://renntako.blogspot.com! not Ren & Tako.

It's going to sound cheesy, but Ren and I will like to thank ALL OF YOU for staying with us for the past one year and it's been great fun! It has been a very nice and supporting community.

THANKS EVERYONE!!

XOXO

Next, it's going to sound silly. This is what one will get if there are 2 bloggers on one blog. As I, Tako, is typing on this post, I am bickering with Ren too. We had decided that a little cake for this celebration is a MUST! But, well,.. just this afternoon, I thought that, nahhh, we won't need a cake. ( I am trying to keep myself slim for a dinner party, shhhh.. don't tell Ren) But Ren thought that we should have one however he gave in. BUT now, here we are bickering about the CAKE. But well no worries, it's friendly bickering, happens all the time. LOL.

BUT as we are all trained that there must always be a PLAN B! So here's what we decided on after a round of friendly BICKERING.

BUT NO CANDLES????!! WHAT?! Now what? Ren felt helpless and Tako is laughing her head off.

Tachikomas: Come on guys! We cannot allow Ren & Tako to bicker non-stop on this important day! We can definitely come up with something to help them. *brainstorming session*

A minor update and kick to our blog... ^^

hey pple.. Ren here! just a short post to update you guys on wad im up to recently. can you hear the footsteps?? its drawing near... wad am i referring to? its Ren n Tako's blog's 1 year anniversary!

YEAHHHHH!!!!!! woooo.... AHHHHHHH!!!~~~

i'm planning something relatively BIG, not new but BIG for this anniversary, but i'm afraid i might not be able to meet the deadline, which is THIS SUNDAY due to unforeseen circumstances. i'll try the best as i can.. keep a lookout on this spot! im quite psyche abt it. =D

anyway.. pls forgive me for my long overdue MG Unicorn Gundam photos.. i'm on a gunpla frenzy now.. -Casts Frenzy- (attack speeds ups 50%) Don't really wanna pause until i finish this upcoming project.. so there's a lack of gundam photos... but i'll try to show you guys wad i was up to these past few weeks... it will be my photos/pictures frenzy mode.. haha..

some outlook of wad's coming and so after two short nights of masking....

yups.. i've decided to paint MEGA SCALE RX-78-2 ANA VER.

Tako : "My new TOY!"

After 2 days of work, Ren had built up my new doll toy! I had so much fun with my new toy~!

Warning : LOTS OF PHOTO SPAMMING!

my toy!

限定発売の『ANAオリジナルカラーVer.ガンプラ』- Limited Edition ANA's original colour ver. gunpla

Mega Size Model 1/48 Gundam RX-78-2 ANA Ver.

Whenever we talk about ANA 1/48 scale, both Ren and I will burst out in laughter. It’s a silly joke about the way I talk. I tend to slur my Mandarin at times.. so it can sound really wrong and weird. REN! Stop poking fun of me!!

Ren's Room 誕生！=D

It's 7pm now and we are trying to take photos of Ren's Room!

It's finally 90% done (except for the clock waiting to be hanged, display cupboard to be filled, a side table, and maybe a drawer..).

Unexpected loots.... by TAKO!!! ^('O')^

Heyhey.. ren's back. din expect myself to be making another post soooo soon eh. lolx. but its definitely smthing to post... when its abt tako.. heh. well well, tako and i went OG chinatown today.. she wanted to get some skin-care products.. so i went to the toy level at OG to pop by and see wad hidden treasures i can uncover....

True to OG's hidden trove.. its having a Gunpla sale! similar to Toy'r'us and the sale at takashimaya before tt. tho much of the items are the same.. they're selling some G.F.F.N figures too.. and oso, the new arrivals.. gunpla starter set of RX and Zaku.. MG V Gundam, MG Full Armor etc.. all at 20% off retail. i was grasping for air looking at all the kits.. i wan this!! i wan that!!! but the 20% discount wasn't enough to move me and my wallet. XD so after tako came back disappointed from her shopping cos the prices were too ex, we walked the ground together.. OG is actually screening Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz at the Gundam counter! and Tako is a die-hard Gundam Wing Fan-gal, her eyes glitters as she saw Heero Guy in Wing Zero Custom. (no room for me... T.T lolx.) Watching after a few minutes, we pulled ourselves from the screen and agreed to come back another day with popcorns to finish the movie cos neither one of us watch the movie before.. ^^

So as i was showing tako ard the new and old gunpla.. like wad gundams i'm hunting next.. she found something really cute.. and we decided to get it straight away! =D

SD RX-78GP03D and DX Wing Gundam!!! (do note tt its DX, not SD scale.. slightly larger den SD, somewhat like the new SD luxurious ver.) Tako couldn't recognise Wing Gundam at first, stating how deformed it was as her reason.. but when she realised, SHE WANTS TO BUILD IT! 'IT'S SO CUTE I'M GONNA DIEEEEE!!!' lolx.. me, being so proud of tako.. decided to buy this Wing Gundam for her.. haha. and a GP03D for myself since its at 20% discount.. she finds it cute too.. ^^

Happy Birthday Singapore! and some love this blog has been lacking... Unicorn preview!

Hi pple! First of all.. Happy 45th Birthday Singapore! yups.. Ren is back on this public holiday to make a short post.. as tako has mentioned before, most of my time is spent in camp.. out of camp.. with tako.. and doing gunpla when im free.. leaving blogging very little time... so sorry abt tt.. i'll still take photos.. and ask tako for help.. heh. she'll be more of the active blogger here.

Of cos, i'll try my best to post more Gundams' related stuffs.. seeing most of tako's post is abt figures.. lolx.. which we are both quite proud of.. our collections so far.. haha. still very young collectors 8 months on.. So today.. i've jus managed to finish the last few parts of Project Unicorn. Took some photos in the late afternoon.. while watching National Day Parade. XD

RX-0 Unicorn Gundam Head Display Stand. From January's Dengeki mag.. other den white and clear pieces, all the details are painted.. phew. oh! look who's behind?
