Here's the second part of my MG Unicorn build.. DESTROY MODE!!! somehow the yellow fins din turn out right in the photos.. its actually slightly more orange than wad you see here..


a few things i've done to NT-D mode...


- panel lined the Destroy Mode's parts with clear red. but the effect doesn't seems obvious.. =(
- paint a few parts that's only visible in NT-D mode..

hallo pple.. ren here. finally after 6 months, i'm gonna post photos of my completed MG Unicorn. lolx. let me reassert that it is a CLEAN build.. no fanciful modding, so it mite disappoint a few. sorry! some paints, panel lining.. and deepening of lines and topcoated glossy is all i've done.. but no stickers were used. i took so long to finish this kit becos of a number of things..

- quite a number of parts.. and most of them need nubs cleaning becos im not gonna paint over them.
- panel lining; both outer armor and NT-D mode's pink florescent parts.
- short working hours on the kit. 1hr/day.. T.T
- and the most time consuming part.. MR. HAJIME KATOKI'S DECALS. i've applied them alll....

i'm sure after this kit.. my water decal's applying skills have gone up a quadtriple fold! XD as you can see them on my Mega size RX-78. and also.. i'll stay away from any Ver. KA kits for quite some time, or at least till the Furoku Sinanju's Head display is out.. den i'll start on MG Sinanju perhaps. ^^

alrites.. i've split the post of this kit into 2 parts.. Unicorn Mode and Destroy Mode, becos of the number of photos i've taken. ^^ okays! let the photos do the talking!

Happy Birthday Singapore! and some love this blog has been lacking... Unicorn preview!

Hi pple! First of all.. Happy 45th Birthday Singapore! yups.. Ren is back on this public holiday to make a short post.. as tako has mentioned before, most of my time is spent in camp.. out of camp.. with tako.. and doing gunpla when im free.. leaving blogging very little time... so sorry abt tt.. i'll still take photos.. and ask tako for help.. heh. she'll be more of the active blogger here.

Of cos, i'll try my best to post more Gundams' related stuffs.. seeing most of tako's post is abt figures.. lolx.. which we are both quite proud of.. our collections so far.. haha. still very young collectors 8 months on.. So today.. i've jus managed to finish the last few parts of Project Unicorn. Took some photos in the late afternoon.. while watching National Day Parade. XD

Wow. its been a extremely long time since i've posted... really sorry abt tt. was very busy in NS and only to come home tired and all. i din have the time to really blog.. take photos, edit photos.. pulish and edit blogs etc...  jus enough time to spend with tako.. and catching up on all YOUR blogs.. lolx. fortunately in june, workload has decreased alittle.. and after much procrastination i've summoned the will to type a new post... thank you tako for filling in for me when im not ard...

Interestingly.. a number of my friends, you guys.. gotten on a hiatus too and jus came back! congrats to chubbybots... now evolved to Hubbybots.. XD rocklee! we miss you! haha.. and thanks to you guys who still continues to read our rants.. thank you very much! =)

ALRITES. today's simple ren's post will be on his Unicorn Gundam. took forever to build.. still building.. anyway, i've decided that i wun put up much WIPs unless its a paintjob model, cos most of my skills in building a straight OOB are basic.. jus trim sand and polish.. and due to army... my speed is painfully slow. wouldn't wan anyone to die waiting right? XD

here's some updates on my Unicorn...

finally painted the figure pilots included... and the cockpit of cos.. thanks to the recently released Unicorn Gundam movie, i was able to refer to its cockpit.

After 2 hours... 遅いだろうな？(T.T) RX-0 Unicorn Gundam W.I.S.P (Part 1)

This is wad i've completed after 2 hours tonight.. LISTENING to the tv as i was doing.. trying to keep this model as nub-clean as possible. Without knowing which parts are gonna be expose on the outside, i can only rely on the manual for reference. not gonna pre-build it cos i'm afraid that i can't take them apart again.. so.. its gonna be in pieces until i've finished the decals and panel lining.. jus thinking abt these two tasks makes my head aches. =(

after 2 hours of working on the kit. I'm super slow right..? feel free to tell me how to improve my speed....

yups! tt's right.. ren's taking this chance to start on his next build after he finished Exia. the next 2 years is gonna be slow moving for me in terms of gunpla.. due to army. Nendoroid provides me with an instant post maker.. lolx. they're ready-made out of the box. so hope tt you pple dun get tired of them so soon.. ^^" As for Unicorn Gundam, have not decided much on how to go abt doing it.. keeping the original colour has always been my style.. (or lack of one.) becos its plain white.. i guess i'll panel line it.. and of cos.. WATER DECALS! yes.. Katoki sensei has struck on me.. another victim. it'll be my first time applying wet-transfer decals.. hope everything goes well.. ^^. RX-0 Unicorn Gundam will be my first Gundam build when i'm in army.. i'll try to build it as fast as i can.. to gauge my work time. =) and i'll oso build another RX-78-2 for Rockleelotus Group build!! think its gonna be a 1/144 due to lack of time.. heh.
