Ren and I never fail to find ourselves scratching our head just to think of the perfect present for each other.

At this very moment, Ren muttered to himself, "It is a million dollar question, if anyone is able to tell me what is the perfect present for Tako, he will give a million dollars to that person.."

Ren and I have decided. This year, we will not buy each other any present. Ha.

Though we are not exchanging presents, our lovely treasures are all ready to have their own gift exchanges this very Christmas.

When Bearguy meets Bear Bear..

In Year 2009, Ren stitched me a bear called “Kumo” 100% hand-sewn.
In Year 2010, Ren bought me a bear called “BearBear” 100% manufactured.
In Year 2011, Ren built me a bear called “Bearguy” 100% hand-built.


But too bad, Kumo cannot be present for the photo-shoot, hence have gotten Bear Bear to be the guest instead.

MG XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero Custom WIP 2! Major bump on the road with decals. zzzz..

It's been a really busy week for me and tako... the new year feeling starts to fade and workload slowly starts to pile up again.. so we din really had time to blog.. nonetheless, its been more than a week since the last post.. so i better make a quick update on my builds.. hallo everyone, ren here. =)

ren working with MG Wing Zero Custom decals from samueldecals....

Received my decals not too long ago.. and i started working on it.. it was my first decal from samueldecal.com, so i din know wad i was getting myself into.. everything was trial and error for me.. you can say that this post is a short review/experience i have with this decals.. As its my first time using such decals, i have encountered a few problems..

MG XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero Custom WIP 1!

(no, there isn't a mistake.. your eyes are not fooling you.. its the master grade ver., not perfect grade. its gonna be awhile for the missing runners to fall from the skies.. XD) 

My first post after new year! yeah.. Tako did her duty for the last 2 weeks by doing most of the posts while i slacked.. xD thank you TAKO! *pat pat* well, wad was i doing? i was busy with... 'some small projects'. keke. will try to show you guys wad i was up to after i've finished everything. halo everyone... ren here. =)

i realised that i cant do kits, do posting, take photos of the kits all at the same time.. its kinda distracting to me, and maybe becos its too much of a hassle cos i move my barang barang(stuffs) alot... like a nomad-gunpla-er. i make my kits everywhere when opportunities arises. my room, sofa, floor, dining table, office, hospital, while waiting for tako. muahahhaa. so everything is packed nicely and ready to move.. having said tt, i'll still try to post every now and then during in between builts to update you guys.. since i've gotten a few feedbacks that you'd like to see wad i do with my kits...

WHICH.... brings me to this post! WIP for MG Wing Gundam Zero Custom... its gonna be a short post with photos and a few comments at the side.. just to guide you along... let's go~! ^^

HG GN-002 Gundam Dynames Completed! ^^

I can't believe that it has been nearly 2 months that i haven been posting anything abt my Gundams! finally, i've settled down and started shooting this kit. i've actually finished this kit before i started my studying regime. and now im happy and excited that i've completed the first 4 Gundams of Gundam 00 series. yay! maybe a family photo shoot soon! =) need to build finish their action base first. XD

Alrites, please enjoy the photos and i'll have a short summary of how i felt for this kit at the end of this post. ^^ as usual, no stickies were used making this kit. =D

Anime Festival Asia 2010 AFAX Part 1: Bandai

Halo pple.. ren here. Its time of the year again! tt's right, putting my JLPT studies aside.. Anime Festival Asia is back in Singapore again!!

3rd year running i presumed... it surely does draw alot alot of crowds from all over South East Asia. wooo. Before i give any of my own 'input' on this year's event, i'll give a brief introduction to AFA. As usual, AFA is 2days event, held 13-14 Nov, both saturday and sunday, where there's a relatively huge exhibition area and a single hall for live concert!

Exhibition area is where varies companies come together and show wad new products they have (actually singapore is real slow to see any 'new' products, usually 1-2mths after the news spread), and local distributors and hobby/anime merchandise shops gathered to sell merchandise to the public, usually having sale of 10% or more. There's also alot of activity areas for the goers to experience, i.e: Karaoke, Maid Cafe, Card Tournaments, Arcade etc...

The concert hall, on the other hand, holds a Pay-Per-View live concert each night featuring singers and bands from Japan, usually singing popular anime tunes. Its also used for talks given by special guests, topics could range from cosplay to blogging, business opportunities and so on.. and last but not least, the Regional Cosplay Championship is held in here too! Countries all over South East Asia sends their best cosplayers to AFA to compete, and the winners get to travel to Japan - all paid for!

Alrights, enough of introductions.. time for business. As before, like last year's AFA coverage, i'll break this event up in to several posts, mainly due to the fact that there's close to 300 photos.. it goes smthing like this..

Hi peeps! *waves* ren here.. sorry tt i was MIA these 2 weeks. right now i'm in mugging mode.. which explains why i'm not posting as often nowadays.. there's alot of chapters for me to catch up in japanese language if i wanna do well for my JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test). The exam is gonna be on the first week of December.. but enough abt that.. i'll try to make another post abt it another day. XD

Last week.. while tako was away in Malaysia for a week, i had the opportunity to do some cleaning up in my house and room.. and well-hidden in the highest level on a mounted shelf, i stumbled upon a treasure... my very own treasure.....

HG GN-003 Gundam Kyrios Completed! ^^

its been 2 weeks since i've posted anything abt gundams.. its time for some gundam love! =D halo everybody.. ren here. this time its e completion of my Gundam Kyrios. 

Thinking back, wad struck me the most while making this kit... wasn't how cool its claws were.. wasn't how streamlined the fighter form was.. and how badass it looks completed. it was the amount of PAINTING this kit needs. almost all the armor needed some other colors. T.T 80% of the time spent on this kit was it's painting. everything was handpainted except the wings on the knees. me no likes stickers. tt's why i took ard 2 weeks to complete. *sigh of relieve..* but i'm not satisfied with some of the parts tt i've painted... i'll get more on to that lata...

Granted, this kit looks really nice when it first appeared on Gundam 00, i liked how it transformed to a jet, the killer GN claws and dual-personality adds up to a nice touch.. but i didn't know that there was so much work to be done on this kit. XD anyway.. as the photo goes.. i'll show you guys where i've painted and some minor panel scribing i've added to make it more accurate to the anime... i gave it a matt super clear finish.

HG GN-005 Gundam Virtue Completed! ^^

Alrites! ren here.. this is the last addition to the recent completed backlog gundams.. HG Gundam Virtue!! and thus ends my photography spree... i started this kit after MG Unicorn gundam, looking for something easier to do. =) unfortuately, this gundam, like Exia.. has tons of places to paint!! ahhhhh... so day by day, i painted parts by parts.. XD finally finished it in wad, 3 weeks? yups. thats my standard. my gunpla speed is snail-pace slow due to work..


i've enjoyed taking the photos becos this kit is so nice to look at.. haha. i love the end product.. looks like 1/100 if i din tell you the size right?? XD alrites.. here's the photos.. enjoy! ^^

Halo pple.. Ren here. im back to post more of my back log gundams that had been completed these past months. heh. this time i'm gonna post the HG O Gundam! i got this kit last year when i was in Tokyo, Akihabara.. it cost only 400yen! and tt's like SG$6 ?!?!?! BUY!!!! another reason i got it was becos of its GN particle effect wings.. as you can see from above pic.. very nice addition to a kit!  its also the father of all gundams in the 00 series.. (que Darth Vader's 'wa si lin lao peh.....')


i made this kit while doing the MG Unicorn build to distract myself abit. Cos applying the decals for Unicorn was very stressful for me.. whether both side matches or not.. the angles correct.. etc etc.. so decided to do a simple build.. jus straight build, paint those parts that's not accurate.. and voila! matt topcoat finish.. no stickies were used in this kit. =)

Here's the second part of my MG Unicorn build.. DESTROY MODE!!! somehow the yellow fins din turn out right in the photos.. its actually slightly more orange than wad you see here..


a few things i've done to NT-D mode...


- panel lined the Destroy Mode's parts with clear red. but the effect doesn't seems obvious.. =(
- paint a few parts that's only visible in NT-D mode..

MG RX-0 Unicorn Gundam Ver. Ka Completed!! ^^ Part 1 (Unicorn Mode).

hallo pple.. ren here. finally after 6 months, i'm gonna post photos of my completed MG Unicorn. lolx. let me reassert that it is a CLEAN build.. no fanciful modding, so it mite disappoint a few. sorry! some paints, panel lining.. and deepening of lines and topcoated glossy is all i've done.. but no stickers were used. i took so long to finish this kit becos of a number of things..

- quite a number of parts.. and most of them need nubs cleaning becos im not gonna paint over them.
- panel lining; both outer armor and NT-D mode's pink florescent parts.
- short working hours on the kit. 1hr/day.. T.T
- and the most time consuming part.. MR. HAJIME KATOKI'S DECALS. i've applied them alll....

i'm sure after this kit.. my water decal's applying skills have gone up a quadtriple fold! XD as you can see them on my Mega size RX-78. and also.. i'll stay away from any Ver. KA kits for quite some time, or at least till the Furoku Sinanju's Head display is out.. den i'll start on MG Sinanju perhaps. ^^

alrites.. i've split the post of this kit into 2 parts.. Unicorn Mode and Destroy Mode, becos of the number of photos i've taken. ^^ okays! let the photos do the talking!

Hi pple! Ren here. Today is exactly one week after our first anniversary.. i was trying to rush this kit out last week in time but couldn't cos there's too much things to do... but i promise that i'll post smthing by the end of this week, to commemorate our blog's 1st birthday and a gift for tako! so here's my completed work.. =)

i'm still very syched about this kit.. ^^ its my second fully spray-painted kit.. with colour separations and i finished this kit in 2 weeks. so far, its my fastest record. maybe due to the simple build.. XD alrites. i'll shut up and let the photos do the talking.. enjoy! ^^

Next, it's going to sound silly. This is what one will get if there are 2 bloggers on one blog. As I, Tako, is typing on this post, I am bickering with Ren too. We had decided that a little cake for this celebration is a MUST! But, well,.. just this afternoon, I thought that, nahhh, we won't need a cake. ( I am trying to keep myself slim for a dinner party, shhhh.. don't tell Ren) But Ren thought that we should have one however he gave in. BUT now, here we are bickering about the CAKE. But well no worries, it's friendly bickering, happens all the time. LOL. 

BUT as we are all trained that there must always be a PLAN B! So here's what we decided on after a round of friendly BICKERING. 

BUT NO CANDLES????!! WHAT?! Now what? Ren felt helpless and Tako is laughing her head off.

 Tachikomas: Come on guys! We cannot allow Ren & Tako to bicker non-stop on this important day! We can definitely come up with something to help them. *brainstorming session*

A minor update and kick to our blog... ^^

hey pple.. Ren here! just a short post to update you guys on wad im up to recently. can you hear the footsteps?? its drawing near... wad am i referring to? its Ren n Tako's blog's 1 year anniversary!

i'm planning something relatively BIG, not new but BIG for this anniversary, but i'm afraid i might not be able to meet the deadline, which is THIS SUNDAY due to unforeseen circumstances. i'll try the best as i can.. keep a lookout on this spot! im quite psyche abt it. =D

anyway.. pls forgive me for my long overdue MG Unicorn Gundam photos.. i'm on a gunpla frenzy now.. -Casts Frenzy- (attack speeds ups 50%) Don't really wanna pause until i finish this upcoming project.. so there's a lack of gundam photos... but i'll try to show you guys wad i was up to these past few weeks... it will be my photos/pictures frenzy mode.. haha..
