Alrights, now that my JLPT is over, im back to finish my AFAX post! today's post will be on the cosplayers tt i've spotted on SUNDAY. Fortunately for me, i heard that saturday's cosplayers had very little space to pose as there was an event held at the usual empty floor. So im glad tt i only went on sunday!

This post will be more of a photo dump, cos there's simply too many photos for me to comment on... but i'll tell you smthing, the cosplayers are getting better and better each year! ^^ enjoy the custumes!

Anime Festival Asia 2010 AFAX Part 4: Regional Cosplay Championship '10

Hi, people! Ren here. Sorry for the delay in posting AFAX stuff.. had 2 mock papers for JLPT last week and the real deal is this coming sunday.. hafta pull my socks a lil.. XD Anyway, today's post will be on the Regional Cosplay Championship 2010 held at AFAX! As usual, i'm super far away from the actual stage. Altogether with low lights, action movements, i'll have many blurred photos.. pls bear with it. OTL If you're can't stand the blurred photos, the results are at the end of the post. XD The competition is judged by a few cosplayers.. Namely, special guests from Japan, Kaname & Aira, Philippines' Alodia and Singapore's Clyde. Let's start with the contestants!

Anime Festival Asia 2009 Day Two Part 2 - 00 Raiser Gundam

Ren is back after a day of wrestling with my comp whose gotten swine flu.. lolx. H1N1. terrible terrible... couldn't even start my comp! for 12 hours.. it jus keeps hanging at the window's loading screen, and the worst part was.. system restore HANGS too. T.T i was ready for the worst scenario, restoring to factory settings. losing every PHOTO. haha. somehow it heard my inner scream and revived. XD

ALRITES. enough of this ordeal. lets start with today's AFA's post... one of the last lonnggg post of AFA.. its 00 Raiser Gundam cosplay!!! i wun describe much since i've done it before.. this cosplayer is Clive.. one of the leading Gundam cosplayer in singapore and maybe the world after winning both awards at Regional Cosplay Competition!! congrats! okays.. today's photos will mainly be on how he dresses up.. and some pose after gearing up.. We're now in Day Two of AFA!! finally.. XD still have so many photos to post.. omg. today's focus will be on Danny Choo and Mirai's cosplay by Alodia. The rest of the stuffs are more or less the same. so.. im not going thru it again. haha.. some of the photos are blurred.. becos there's too many pple crowding ard.. so i could only point, shoot and go.. blurring some of the photos in the process... gomennasai! okays.. Alrites.. today AFA's coverage is abt the cosplayers! its a short post compared to my other AFA reports.. most of the animes i watched are the mainstreams ones.. bleach, gundams, naruto etc.. so i can't really tell you exactly who's cosplaying who.. heh. sorry abt that. Abt those that appeared in my photos.. i jus happened to meet them whilst moving ard AFA.. they're jus the tip of the iceberg. im glad that there's alot more cosplayers this year compared to last.. jap culture is spreading!! =D for those who's more interested in cosplayers, i think chubbybots has covered more cosplayers at the event den me.. so feel free to visit his blog at the my blogroll. =) For 00 Raiser Gundam and Mirai's cosplay, i've allocated a post each for them on Day Two of AFA.. so they'll be up soon. ^^

that's right.. ren couldn't take very clear photos of the competition.. my apologies... T.T  even though its blurred.. and not much from each team.. i'll jus post it up becos its part of AFA and it wouldn't be complete without it.. so pls bear with the photos.. ^^. While Ren is covering Gundam Fiesta 2009. I guess i have no say in it, because he's the one with better photography skills, and definately more knowledge in the mechanics of Gundam model. HAHA! But i love the way i get updates without having to be LIVE at Gundam Fiesta.

I admire Gundam models from aesthetic point of view, so if anyone is to ask me to comment on technical details, I can only give you "errs, and ermss". Oh, i am a lover of Gundam Wing series and yes, like what Ren has mentioned few days back, Gundam Wing Custom Zero, I have 2 of it and I have only done up the left leg and arm only. But in any case, I will work hard on it!

I need to share on some stale news. Remember the STGCC 2009 which ended in August 2009, there's an awesome display of "modelling" skills by cosplayers and here's a Gundam model -- Strike Freedom Gundam.

This cosplayer managed to "model" himself into a Strike Freedom Gundam. Kudos!

Look at the details of the Mobile Suit. It's real cool.

The amazing part is that though the cosplayer is in the mobile suit, he's able to move around. Though slow, but what more do we want, it's good job done here for all the details and mechanics of it! Look at the eyes!

Do you guys remember the Odaiba RX-78? Have you guys managed to catch it with your eyes? Man! I wish i am impulsive enough to book myself a ticket to Tokyo. Though I didn't manage to catch a real glimpse of RX-78, I manage to see a Freedom Gundam.

I need to digress from the topic "Gundam". At STGCC 2009, there is another one of my favourite. Kamen Rider Kabuto. Yes, I went screaming Kabuto when I saw him, Ren's totally embarassed with a little "kid" by his side.

Credit has to be given to the many other cosplayers, they are good but there are a little too many photographers. So I didn't have a chance to take a good picture of all the cosplayers. But I will be looking forward to AFA2009! See you there, all cosplayers! 

psst: all photos taken with iphone and with tons of excitement. hence the quality is not fantastic. But that's enough for my eyes, Gundam! Kabuto! i will work harder on my photography skills too.
